The Professor was the fîrst novel by Charlotte Bronte (1816 - 1855), a British vvriter, the eldest out of the three famous Bronte sisters. Based on Charlotte Bronte' sexperiences in Brussels as a student, the book is the story of a young man, VVilliam Crimsvvorth. Charlotte Bronte completed The Professor before Ja.ne Eyre but it was rejected by publishers; it was published posthumously in 1857.
